THE FORGOTTEN HAT | JUNK OR TREASURE

Because of the quick modernization of society, some common items in ancient Vietnamese life, especially Non Cu, have been pushed to the side. They are gradually being forgotten and replaced by trendy clothes.

Nowadays, many museums are displaying various antiques to preserve its beauty. However, to Nguyen Duc Huy – a young collector, “if an antique spends the rest of its life in a museum, then it’s already dead as it does not fully reflect its underlying values”. Hence, he always wishes to shed light on the values of historical costumes, including Non Cu, so as to bring it out of being forgotten in modern life.

Find out how Huy ignites the value of Non Cu and his interesting perspective on historical costumes in the new episode of Junk Or Treasure – The Forgotten Hat.
